“And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”—Matthew 4:18-19
The Lord has called us to a season of launching, a time to step out in boldness and trust in His divine plan. As we stand on the brink of new beginnings, let us reflect on the words of Isaiah 40:31: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
This scripture reminds us that our strength comes from the Lord. As we prepare for this launch, we must anchor our hope in Him. Just as the disciples were called to leave their nets and follow Jesus, we too are called to leave behind our fears and doubts. The time has come to embrace the mission God has set before us.
Consider the story of Peter walking on water. When Jesus called him out of the boat, Peter stepped onto the waves with his eyes fixed on the Savior. It was only when he looked at the storm around him that he began to sink. Likewise, we must keep our focus on Jesus, trusting that He will guide us through the uncertainties ahead.
Launching into the unknown can be daunting, but remember, we are not alone. God promises to be with us every step of the way. As it says in Joshua 1:9, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Let us take this time to pray for courage, wisdom, and faith. Let us support one another as we embark on this journey. Together, we will witness the incredible things God has in store for us. It’s time for the launching, and with God as our guide, we will soar to new heights.
